Nita’s Testimonial

Working with Igor Shteynberg, a conscientious, talented, and effective Feldenkrais practitioner, equipped me to slow down physically, emotionally, and mentally and to make healthier personal and professional choices.

I was aware of the Feldenkrais method through different practitioners and have been deeply interested and invested in wellness and somatic embodiment practices.

I experience a relationship between the way I move externally in the world and how I engage with my emotional, mental and spiritual interior life. With more travel, movement and change in my life, I wanted to explore new practices that would support me to be more present and connected. I was feeling more depleted living in NYC and exploring how to feel more restored and be more present to manage my life’s various moving parts.

The Feldenkrais method focuses on slow movement with power, intensity, and integrity.  Its efficacy amazed me because I gained great and immediate insight into my body’s mechanics and habits by just moving one body part a couple of inches slowly and intently.

Igor’s sessions exceeded my expectations in seeing how such small and extended micro-movements in a short period of time without much effort or energy on my part could reveal so much about operating in my increasingly movement oriented and dynamic life. Working with Igor showed me where I am not embodying my purpose fully in my physicality.

I own b*free, a mission-driven business evolving the way we work for greater sustainability and well-being through a holistic approach.that integrates personal development, wellness and business skills. We support founders, freelancers and executive teams through coaching, consulting, education and retreat facilitation.

We partner with mission driven organizations to close the gap between what they value and espouse in the marketplace and who they are and how they show up and live their values within the organization.

I understood and learned in Igor’s sessions with much surprise, empowerment, openness, and curiosity how to maintain the balance between giving and receiving. I slowed down and found new sustainable strategies with how my body could move and relax while expending my energy in a coaching or supportive capacity.

Igor has consistently given me the encouragement and permission and encouragement to slow down and be fully present.

Working with Igor contributed to my decision to leave New York, travel, and live “everywhere and nowhere.” I want to create the time and freedom to deepen my relationships with my ecosystem of family, friends, and colleagues across the country and globe.   And to explore and build a deeper relationship with nature and the wilderness to better support my vitality and wellbeing.

Igor’s Feldenkrais sessions equipped me with impactful insights about how to feel more ease and centeredness and make big decisions in changing how I lived.

By having the opportunity to slow down, I have grown more physically and mentally acute. Throughout this process I have continued to examine what I really value and live in a way that is consistent with that; I need less to live more fully.

In learning how to move simply with what is before me in the present moment, I now have more ease and presence to make better choices.

I highly recommend Igor Shteynberg’s Feldenkrais practice to anyone looking for impactful, long-lasting, and powerful practices that increase your sense of sustainability and presence across your creativity, health, career, and overall wellbeing.

Sincerely,
Nita Baum
